Digital Signature for New Members (National ID Card or Dimex)

  • Únicamente para cédula nacional o personas extranjeras con DIMEX.

The CFIA issues digital signatures to its new members; therefore, on the day you submit your documents, you must schedule an appointment with the service provider to receive the digital signature kit, which includes the card, certificate, and card reader.

La gestión únicamente se realiza en las Oficinas de COOPENAE en San José o bien en la que se ubica en el CFIA.

Things to consider for your appointment:

  • On the day you submit your registration documents, the service representative will schedule an appointment for you to sign the documents and will provide you with a receipt.
  • You must present this receipt on the day of your appointment.
  • Una vez agendada su cita, si tiene algún inconveniente en asistir, por favor informarlo al correo electrónico firmadigital1@coopenae.fi.cr
  • Please arrive 15 minutes before your appointment time and check in at the reception desk of your chosen Coopenae office.
  • Debe presentar la última cédula que tramitó en el Tribunal Electoral, ésta debe estar en buen estado, vigente y completamente legible por ambos lados.
  • On the day of your appointment, you will not be allowed to enter the registration office with anyone else; therefore, please do NOT bring minors or anyone who requires supervision or care.
