Fees in Bidding Processes
The application of professional fee schedules is mandatory; therefore, neither professionals nor any public or private entity may disregard them or issue any provision to the contrary. Accordingly, when paying professional fees to engineers and architects who are members of this Association, the respective fee schedule must be used.
Professional Fees
The fees charged by CFIA members must comply with the rates set forth in the schedule of professional services, as applicable. (See Executive Decree No. 18636-MOPT, Executive Decree No. 35298-MOPT, and Executive Decree No. 17481-MOPT.)
Requirements for the Hiring of Professionals and Business Registration
All companies, whether consulting firms or construction companies, must be registered with the CFIA in order to carry out activities related to the professions regulated by this professional association. The regulatory framework governing the activities of these companies is established by the Organic Law of the CFIA, in accordance with the provisions of Article 52.
With regard to individuals, Articles 9, 11, and 12 of the Organic Law of the CFIA stipulate that the professional practice of architecture and engineering is restricted solely to professionals who are members of this professional association.
