Julio 3 Julio – Founding of the Technical School of the Republic
Foundation of the Technical Faculty of the Republic by Decree No. 34 signed, with the "Execute" of Law, by the then President of the Republic Don Ascensión Esquivel Ibarra and by his Secretary of State Don Leonidas Pacheco, the Technical Faculty of the Republic is created.
julio 18 julio – First General Assembly of the Technical Faculty of the Republic
The first General Assembly was held at the residence of the Provisional President, Engineer Lesmes Jiménez Bonnefil. Twenty-six professionals from the fields of civil engineering, surveying, mechanical engineering, and agriculture attended, and Engineer Luis Matamoros Sandoval was elected as the first President. In addition, the other members who would make up the eight committees provided for in the Organic Law were appointed. In agosto , the Faculty consisted of 41 members, all of whom had graduated from engineering schools in Europe and the United States between diciembre 18 diciembre , and octubre 20 octubre .
julio 23 julio - Renamed the Faculty of Engineering of Costa Rica
Faculty of Engineering of Costa Rica By Decree No. 19 of the Constitutional Congress, the name of the Technical Faculty of the Republic was changed to the Faculty of Engineering of Costa Rica. This decree was signed in the Office of the Public Institution by the President of the Republic, Ricardo Jiménez Oreamuno, and his Secretary of State, Nicolás Oreamuno. Its headquarters were then located on Calle Primera and Avenida Octava, in San José.

Establishment of the College of Engineers. By Law No. 262 of agosto 26 agosto the University of Costa Rica was established, and once academic activities began on marzo 7 marzo , the teaching functions of the Faculty were transferred to the then-newly created School of Engineering. That same year, the College of Engineers was established under Law No. 22 of noviembre 12 noviembre .

diciembre 17 diciembre – The Federated College of Engineers and Architects of Costa Rica (C.F.I.A.) was established
The Federated Association of Engineers and Architects of Costa Rica is created By Law No. 4925, signed by then-President José Figueres Ferrer, the Federated Association of Engineers and Architects of Costa Rica is created. Its first article is as follows:
“For the purposes of this Act:
a) “Federated Association” means the Federated Association of Engineers and Architects of Costa Rica.
b) “Associations” means the various associations that make up the Federated Association of Engineers and Architects of Costa Rica.
c) “Assembly of Representatives” means the Assembly composed of the members of the Board of Directors of the various associations and the delegates appointed by them.
d) “General Assembly” means the Assembly of each of the associations.
e) “General Board of Directors” means the Board of Directors of the Federated Association, composed of members of the Board of Directors of each of the associations.
f) “Board of Directors” means that of each of the associations.
The primary objective of the Federated Association is to promote the advancement of engineering and architecture, as well as the sciences, arts, and trades related to them.
Its headquarters were located at the corner of Calle 42 and Avenida 4, Sabana Este, where it remained from noviembre to octubre . Also on this date, the Association of Electrical, Mechanical, and Industrial Engineers was established by Law No. 4925.

The Association of Surveying Engineers of Costa Rica was created by Law No. 5361.
diciembre 22 diciembre - Acquisition of the land for the CFIA's new headquarters
The land for the construction of the new headquarters was purchased for ¢1,850,000.00 in Curridabat, six kilometers from downtown San José. The cornerstone was laid on julio 18 julio . Today, the new building of the Colegio Federado stands modern and innovative, majestically dominating the surroundings, thus fulfilling the hopes and aspirations of all members over so many years. The new headquarters was inaugurated on octubre 25 octubre .
