Log in to the Digital Certification System. There, you will need to enter your personal information as the applicant, select the type of certification you need, and make the corresponding payment.

Digital Certification System

In person

You can submit your application in person at our Service Platforms at our Headquarters or Regional Offices.

We recommend:

  • Verify that professionals or companies are up to date on their CFIA fee payments before applying for certifications.
  • If you need certifications to be submitted to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, please request them by emailing dep.registro@cfia.cr or through the CFIA’s online services and indicate this on the application.

Cost

The cost of each certification is 5,000 + VAT = 5,650 colones.

For orders canceled via bank transfer

  • You must upload the receipt as a PDF file to the Digital Certification System
  • The requested certificates will be issued once the provided proof of payment has been processed.

Within 24 hours for the following types of certifications:

  • Professional and Corporate Membership
  • Appraisals and Expert Assessments
  • Investment Monitor
  • Specialty Recognized by the CFIA
  • No registration of individuals and businesses with the CFIA
  • Company Executives
  • No record of disciplinary actions

Within 2 business days for the following types of certifications:

  • Those related to Registered Projects
  • History of Disciplinary Actions
  • Registered Academic Degrees and Titles
  • Applications for Membership Pending

30 calendar days from the date of issuance.
