Degrees Earned Abroad

Applies only to regular members, not to temporary members.

  • Prior to the application process for admission to the CFIA, applicants must complete the process of having their degree recognized and equated by the National Council of University Presidents (CONARE).

  • Once you have obtained the certification of recognition and equivalence, you may apply for membership with the CFIA by submitting all the requirements set forth in Regular Members.
  • The documentation must be in Spanish; otherwise, an officially certified translation must be provided.
  • Minimum Degree Required for Hiring

Professionals in Civil Engineering and Architecture Professionals in other engineering fields
Bachelor's Degree University Preparatory Program

  • Applications that include only a postgraduate degree will not be accepted.
  • Postgraduate degrees will be recorded once you have been admitted to the CFIA, as an update to your academic profile.
