Considerations for Submitting Requirements
All documentation must be in Spanish; otherwise, you must provide an officially certified translation.
- It is important to note that incomplete applications and those submitted outside the submission periods established by the CFIA will not be accepted.
- If you have graduated from two universities, you must submit all the required documentation for each degree. For more information on the academic degree required for admission, please see “About Admission to the CFIA.”
- On behalf of the CFIA, we urge you to request the necessary documentation from the universities well in advance, as some universities take more than 15 days to provide the documents.
If you need someone else to submit the required documents, you must:
- Provide a letter of authorization.
- Submit the required documents and signatures, duly authenticated and certified by a notary public with their signature, seal, notarial security paper, and corresponding stamps; or submit a valid general power of attorney issued by the National Registry of Costa Rica.
- The swearing-in ceremony is a highly personal act in accordance with the regulations of this Professional Association; therefore, it cannot be performed by a person holding a general power of attorney.
They must bear the consular seals and the seal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship, as provided for in Article 67 of the Consular Service Act No. 46 of junio 7 junio , or be duly apostilled in accordance with the provisions of Law 8923.
