Core Objective

Facilitate the link between training, updating, and professional practice.

Objectives

  • Serve as a liaison with academic units and universities offering engineering and architecture programs.
  • Perform executive functions for the General Commission for Professional Development (CGAP).
  • Evaluate the updating of competencies for the professional practice of a CFIA member, based on established criteria and procedures.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding the professional practice of CFIA members.
  • Accompany universities undergoing the accreditation process for engineering and architecture programs before the AAPIA during the self-assessment stage.
  • Contribute to strengthening and improving management processes in public and private institutions.
  • Promote comprehensive development with sustainable solutions through professional development.
  • Promote organizational values for the success of the CFIA strategy.
  • Perform executive functions for the Permanent Bipartisan Commission on Professional Certification in Electrical Design for Buildings (COMCAP).
  • Perform executive functions for the Permanent Bipartisan Commission on LP Gas Installations.
  • Promote the comprehensive development and updating of CFIA employees through continuing education.
  • Promote comprehensive development and updating for CFIA members through continuing education.
  • Implement the continuing education program in accordance with the Special Regulations for the Registration and Regulation of Investment and Quality Inspectors in the National Financial System for Housing.
  • Contribute to the strategic and operational management of local governments through continuous training processes.
  • Complete the CFIA Induction and Ethics Course and the UCR Ethics Workshop.
  • Complete Professional Development for members with Conditional Release or Restorative Justice Benefits
  • Provide learning, strengthening, and updating activities to CFIA members and society in general through the asynchronous mode of the Moodle-CFIA platform.

In order to achieve the primary objectives established for the CFIA in its Organic Law, the functions of our department are:

Evaluate the disciplinary and curricular relevance of engineering and architecture degree programs.
Coordination with member colleges, associations, and professional commissions, updating professional profiles
Execute the CFIA Professional Update process

Accompany universities undergoing the accreditation process for engineering and architecture programs before the AAPIA during the self-assessment stage.

Curriculum analysis of incorporation
Voluntary withdrawal application procedure
Procedure for updating academic degrees
Conducting comparative studies and establishing criteria for professional practice.
Consultation service on areas of practice and competencies for professional practice.

Provide learning, strengthening, and updating activities to CFIA members and society in general through the asynchronous modality of the CFIA Virtual Educational Campus.
