Considerations for Submitting Requirements

All documentation must be in Spanish; otherwise, you must provide an officially certified translation.

It is important to note that incomplete applications will not be accepted.

  • Before submitting the required documents to the Services Platform or Regional Office, you must send the digitally signed documents todep.registro@cfia.cr so that the signature can be validated; the system will then generate a case number (ticket) for you.
  • The remaining requirements that do not contain a digital signature must be submitted in person to the Service Platform or Regional Office, indicating the reference number (ticket) of the requirements sent with a national digital signature.
  • A digital signature is not a scanned signature; it is a signature certified by the relevant institution, which allows its owner to authenticate themselves and sign electronically.

If you are submitting a document authenticated abroad, it must be duly apostilled.
