Department of Sustainability and Climate Change

Core Objective

The Department of Sustainability and Climate Change was established on febrero 8 febrero 2022, at Session No. 11-21/22-GO of the CFIA General Board of Directors through Resolution No. 17, as part of the project “Improving Climate Services for Infrastructure Investments,” and in response to the growing need to develop methodologies and tools that incorporate the use of climate services into decision-making processes for infrastructure projects, as part of risk management and adaptation to the impacts of eventos .

The primary objective is to promote the development of communities that are resilient to the impacts of climate change, not only through capacity building among decision-makers, community leaders, and professional and technical teams, but also through the CFIA's participation in various initiatives and projects focused on adaptation, in conjunction with different stakeholders, with the goal of achieving the general well-being of the population.
