Submission of Requirements
The application can be sent to the email address dep.registro@cfia.cr provided that the legal representatives and professionals responsible have a national digital signature duly accredited by the corresponding institution. The digital certificate allows its owner to authenticate themselves and sign electronically. It is not a scanned signature.
If you do not have a digital signature, you can submit your application via the CFIA Services Platform.

Once completed, you must print, sign, and submit it along with the other established requirements.
Temporary Registration Form for Foreign Companies
Considerations
- The information must be complete, with no cross-outs or alterations.
- The signatures on the form must be original and must be submitted duly authenticated by a notary public with the notary’s signature, seal, notarial security paper, and corresponding stamps, if the legal representative(s) and responsible professionals do not present themselves at the CFIA with a valid and intact identification card to complete the procedure and verify their signatures.
- If authentication is carried out abroad, the form must be duly apostilled.
- You can complete the process using a national digital signature that has been properly certified by the relevant institution; the digital certificate allows its owner to authenticate themselves and sign electronically. It is not a scanned signature.
- The date of issue must be less than one month old and duly apostilled.
- It must be in Spanish; otherwise, an officially certified translation must be provided.

- If authentication is carried out abroad, it must be duly apostilled.
- The contract must specify the length of service and remuneration, as well as any other additional details.

- The amount is equivalent to 25% of the fee paid by companies for the same concept.
- The registration fee is ¢415,000.00, so 25% represents ¢103,750.00.

Please note that:
- To register responsible professionals as members, these individuals must be licensed to practice and up to date with their monthly dues at the time of application.
- If the application is approved, a certificate will be sent to the company's email address detailing the assigned card number and the date from which the registration is valid.
- The process takes three business days if all the required documents have been submitted in accordance with the regulations. However, in certain cases, the deadline may be extended to ten business days.
- All required information and documentation must be submitted in full. If any of the specified requirements are not met correctly or do not comply with CFIA regulations, the application will not be processed and will have no legal effect.
