List of Requirements
In accordance with Article 6 of the Regulations, the applicant must:
- Have been a member of the CFIA for five or more years.
- Be licensed to practice.
- Stay up to date with your obligations to the CFIA.
- Not having been subject to disciplinary action in matters related to investment oversight in the past ten years.
- Pass all courses currently offered in the refresher program at the time you submit your application.
In accordance with Article 7 of the Regulations, applications to be included in the registry of tax inspectors must be submitted through the physical or electronic channels established by the CFIA for this purpose. The following must be included with the application:
- The application form provided for this purpose.
- Course completion certificates.

Remember that:
- All information and requirements must be submitted in full; applications that do not comply with this requirement will not be accepted.
- Once the application has been submitted, if the information is incomplete or otherwise fails to comply with the provisions of these regulations, the applicant will be granted a non-extendable period of 10 business days to correct, supplement, or clarify the deficiencies noted. If the requirements are not met within the deadline, or are not met satisfactorily, the application will be declared inadmissible and ordered to be closed.
