About the Role
We’re looking for a Materials & Production Planning Analyst to manage inventory and production coordination for Roofing Solutions’ main warehouse and metal fabrication facility in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
This role is critical to optimizing warehouse materials and driving an efficient, technology-enabled fabrication process across multiple states (Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama). You will manage daily materials tracking, plan and schedule production orders from all divisions, and maintain clear communication with project teams to ensure on-time fabrication and delivery.
You will implement best-in-class methodologies, leverage data and systems to streamline operations, reduce cycle times, and maximize inventory efficiency—all while maintaining high standards of accuracy, accountability, and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor and update warehouse material levels daily.
- Ensure real-time tracking of additions and usage of all materials.
- Minimize material stock levels without compromising project needs.
- Provide the procurement and project management teams with real-time inventory visibility.
- Production Planning:
- Develop and maintain a system to receive and prioritize fabrication orders from all divisions.
- Plan and schedule daily/weekly production workflows for architectural panels and sheet metal components.
- Ensure all required materials and labor are available to meet production targets.
- Monitor capacity and proactively resolve scheduling conflicts.
- Communication & Coordination:
- Keep all stakeholders informed of order status, delivery schedules, and any changes.
- Coordinate closely with logistics, procurement, and jobsite teams to meet timelines.
- Manage production and delivery tracking systems to ensure alignment across departments.
- Process Optimization & Data Management:
- Analyze production and inventory data to drive efficiency, reduce waste, and improve turnaround times.
- Implement technology and digital tools to streamline materials tracking and production workflows.
- Apply Lean, Six Sigma, or other industrial engineering methodologies to improve process quality and performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a warehousing, manufacturing, or fabrication environment
- Strong understanding of production planning, inventory control, and logistics coordination
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills
- High attention to detail and a focus on process accuracy
- Strong communication skills in English and Spanish (minimum B2 in both)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Experience with ERP systems and digital tools for inventory and production tracking a plus
